The United Arab Emirates is a land of contrasts, where golden deserts meet futuristic cities, and tradition blends seamlessly with modernity. My recent UAE Journey included Abu Dhabi, Khorfakkan, and the serene waters of a Dhow Cruise, which was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Desert Safari Dubai:
A Thrill in the Golden Sands the journey began with an exhilarating Desert Safari in Dubai. The sandstorm created by the vehicle’s swift movements made the experience even more thrilling.
After the dune bashing, we stopped at a picturesque viewpoint where the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the endless desert. Traditional Arabic music filled the air as we indulged in grilled meats, fresh salads, and aromatic coffee. To complete the experience, I tried camel riding and got a beautiful henna tattoo. It was a night of Arabian magic under the starlit sky.
Abu Dhabi City Tour:
A Glimpse of Elegance and Culture Next, I ventured to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, where grandeur meets tradition. Walking through its vast corridors, I was in awe of its serene beauty. We then visited the Heritage Village, where I got a glimpse into the UAE’s rich history and Bedouin lifestyle. The city’s skyline was equally mesmerizing, especially from the Corniche, where modern skyscrapers towered over the turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf.
Before heading back to Dubai, we stopped by the luxurious Emirates Palace, where I sipped on the famous gold-flaked cappuccino—a true taste of royalty!
Dubai City Tour:
A Futuristic Wonderland Back in Dubai, I embarked on a journey through the city’s iconic landmarks. The first stop was the world-famous Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on Earth. From its 148th-floor observation deck, I admired the breathtaking view of Dubai’s skyline, with the vast desert on one side and the shimmering ocean on the other. A visit to the Dubai Marina offered a glimpse of the city’s vibrant lifestyle, with yachts gliding through the water and towering skyscrapers reflecting the golden sun.
Khorfakkan Tour:
Nature’s Hidden Gem Away from the urban glamour, I set off on a tour to Khorfakkan, a serene town nestled between the mountains and the sea. The drive along the winding roads was scenic, with rugged mountains on one side and the vast ocean on the other.
Our first stop was the breathtaking Shees Park, a hidden oasis with cascading waterfalls, lush greenery, and stunning viewpoints. The fresh mountain air was a refreshing break from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Next, we visited the Al Rafisah Dam, a stunning spot where I took a kayak ride across the calm waters, surrounded by towering cliffs. The historic Al Bidya Mosque, the oldest mosque in the UAE, was another fascinating stop, giving a glimpse into the country’s Islamic heritage. As the sun set, we relaxed at Khorfakkan Beach, where the sound of the waves and the cool breeze made for a peaceful end to the UAE Journey.
Dhow Cruise:
A Magical Evening on the Water To conclude my journey, I embarked on a Dhow Cruise, a traditional wooden boat ride along Dubai Creek. The atmosphere was enchanting, with soft Arabian music playing in the background and the city lights reflecting on the water. A lavish buffet dinner was served as the boat gently glided past Dubai’s illuminated skyline.
The iconic Al Seef district, with its charming old-world architecture and the modern skyscrapers of the Business Bay, created a stunning contrast. The highlight of the evening was a spectacular Tanoura dance performance, where a performer twirled endlessly in a dazzling LED-lit costume.
It was the perfect way to end my Arabian adventure UAE Journey—floating on calm waters under the sparkling Dubai sky.
